This week me and Ben spent Monday-Friday at Lindale Holiday Park in Bedale. It was the perfect place to relax, spend some quality time together and reset. After endless hours of scrolling through different locations and holiday parks we settled on Lindale and booked through Hoseasons. We stayed in a pine lodge called Firby.
The holiday park is located in Lower Wensleydale and is a few miles west from Bedale which has shops, pubs, cafes and takeaways. We brought all our own food so only needed to drive into Bedale once when the coffee was low and I was craving ice cream.
Inside the lodge a box of leaflets about the area was provided which listed activities, local attractions, maps and a parking permit which I think gave you around 2 hours to park in local towns. We already decided we wanted to spend most of the week to relax in the lodge, wear comfy clothes, eat what we wanted and binge on TV shows so we only ventured out on Tuesday.
After rummaging through the box of leaflets we both agreed we would like to visit Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden which is a world heritage site. To see pictures from our day out click here.
The rest of the week we watched the full first season of Game of Thrones (I know I’m late to the party), I started to read a new book, dipped in and out of the hot tub all day, drank too much wine and barbecued most of our meals. It was perfect. To see pictures from throughout the week click here.
As you can see the lodge is for four people with one double room and a twin room. Although we didn’t use the twin room the lodge would be great for families or a group of close friends. The double bedroom had a walk in wardrobe and en suite shower room and just outside both bedrooms was the main bathroom. The beds were comfy and the only noise on a morning was birds chirping which I found relaxing.
The kitchen is kitted out with crockery, kitchen utensils, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. Everything you could possibly need was provided. Our favourite part of the whole lodge was the outdoor area with an amazing hot tub, BBQ and seating area.
We couldn’t fault our stay at Lindale Holiday Park and look forward to visiting again.
