Glossier - Beth Waldron

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few weeks, you’ll know Glossier launched in the UK, and with that came a lot of hype. I’ve watched countless pink pouches be opened on Instagram stories and I’m now firmly on that bandwagon. Let me tell you, it’s totally worth it. I didn’t want to go crazy and order one of everything because I need to save for adult stuff. Actually let me rephrase that. I did want to go crazy and order one of everything but adulting got in the way. I ordered things that I was running out of and actually needed since I’m so sensible *sigh*. The skincare range looks right up my street, but for now I’m happy with the few makeup pieces I’ve purchased. The Milky Jelly Cleanser is next on my list to try.

I had to buy one of the balm dotcoms because 1. I’m a sucker for lip balms and 2. Anything coconut scented instantly grabs my attention. This is a new staple in my handbag and I’ve even been using it on those pesky dry patches on my elbows too. A multi-purpose product is always a winner!

I also ordered the Glossier Phase 2 Set. It includes the best selling Boy Brow, a stretch concealer and a Generation G. I really didn’t think I was going to like Boy Brow because I prefer a pencil or powder product but it honestly has changed the way I do my brows. They look so much more natural now and it really holds them in place without stiffening the hair.

The Stretch Concealer is perfect if like me, you prefer glowing, dewy skin that looks natural. I wouldn’t use this on my blemishes but for under my eyes and redness it works wonders. The Generation G is a sheer matte lipstick which I chose in the shade ‘Like’ (it looks like a deep purple in the packaging but on the lips it’s a sheer pink). This is the only product I wouldn’t rate. I love the colour and the application but I find my lips feel super dry afterwards and they’re in desperate need of some Balm Dotcom. The packaging isn’t all that great either, it’s just a ‘meh’ product for me.

I think Glossier have their branding and overall look spot on. It’s a bandwagon worth jumping on and I would recommend their makeup range to anyone who loves that ‘no makeup, makeup look’.  So what are your thoughts on Glossier? Have you tried any of the products yet?
